Comprehensive Introduction of Augmented and Alternative Communication Methodology into the Ukrainian System of Education

On April 2, 2025, the AMUSE partnership successfully held the first webinar in the “EU Inclusion Strategy and Social Equity” online course, organized as part of the AMUSE Erasmus+ KA2 project, co-funded by the European Union.

The session, titled “Introduction to Inclusive Education,” marked the beginning of a meaningful learning journey for 80 Ukrainian educators. Representing all Ukrainian partner institutions in the project, participants gained valuable insights into inclusive education practices adopted across Europe.

This online course is the outcome of a collaborative initiative involving the University of Oslo, HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, the University of Tartu, and the Dutch NGO SOFT tulip. All course materials are accessible via the University of Tartu’s learning platform, ensuring continuous learning and engagement.

The inaugural webinar was led by Dr. Sofie Sergeant and Drs. Hanne Touw from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, who shared their deep expertise and practical knowledge on inclusive education frameworks. Their presentations, combined with interactive discussions, laid a strong foundation for the course and fostered an enriching exchange of perspectives.

We look forward to continuing this collaborative journey and to the engaging conversations that lie ahead as we work together to advance inclusive education in Ukraine.
